Bring Your Shoes to Shul

Adas Kodesch Shel Emeth has partnered with Community Recycling and its ShoeBox Recycling program. Together we are on a mission to help promote the importance of shoe recycling while raising funds for AKSE.

Participation is simple. Drop off your gently used shoes in the collection box in the AKSE lounge or call 302-762-2705 for convenient pick-up service. We ship the shoes to Community Recycling for distribution to those in need. AKSE receives a small fee. You free up some closet space and contribute to less landfill waste. Ask your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to participate. Feel good that you did a Mitzvah.

All the shoes we recycle as a group are destined for another home. From South America to Africa to areas right here in the United States, our ShoeBox Recycling efforts help people and communities in over 50 countries. Our community benefits as well. Not only do your recycled shoes help AKSE raise funds, but these shoes are also kept out of our local landfills.
