We strove to help each student master the skills needed to become knowledgeable, active, and comfortable participants of the Jewish community.
Study and experiences focused on
- Jewish history, customs, Bible, and prayers
- Biblical and modern-day Israel
- Hebrew language
- Holidays and mitzvot
- Social interaction with other Jewish children
Instruction was tailored to meet each child’s specific needs, including those with learning differences.
Classes met Wednesdays 4:00-5:45 pm and on Sundays 9:00-11:30 am.
Junior Congregation met once a month on Shabbat mornings 10:30-11:45 am.
Our excellent education was available to all children, whether or not the family belonged to a synagogue.
